  About Us

The Epicurean is..."a jewel in the middle of cornfields" ..."an oasis in the middle of nowhere"..." a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow"...we did not make this up! These are quotes from our customers...

We are a cafe offering breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as a  specialty gourmet shoppe and bakery creating fresh and flavorful food using local ingredients where available.

Gourmet Foods & Products

Our focus is providing unique products and services that we would use in our house. Everything on the menu is what we like or we would not serve it to you. Everything on our shelves is something that we would have in our house and many times have! For example, we carry one of the largest selections of Stonewall Kitchen products in the area, because we believe in the products and have used some of them for years. Our coffee was tested with a focus group of 12 friends who scored 18 different coffees before we chose the three we serve daily in the cafe. Before we started our dinners on Bastille Day, July 14th, 2006,  we test marketed everything from the food to the atmosphere until we got it right. We wanted to assure you of a first rate dining experience. As our heritage is French Canadian and southern Mediterrean, you will find many foods, menu items and products that reflect those areas of the French culture.
